IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES
2011 SEASON
Friday, August 6, 2010:
Last day to submit Club nicknames, logos, Club colors and uniform designs for approval by the MLSA. Club names, colors and uniform designs are approved on a first submitted, first served basis.
Friday, September 3, 2010:
Signed Lease Agreements for the use of an approved ballpark must be received. All required photographs, videotape and technical drawings must also be submitted by this date. Concession and Parking Agreements, if applicable, are also due on this date.
Friday, October 8 through Wednesday, October 13, 2010:
First meeting of the MLSA Board of Governors. (Site to be determined) Business to beconducted, in part, includes review and ratification of the Uniform Player’s Contract; the reviewand ratification of the MLSA Revenue Sharing Program and review and approval of the Official Rules of the MLSA for the 2011Season.
Friday, February 4, 2011:
Player information must be received for all tryout participants on the forms provided by the MLSA.
Saturday, February 19, 2011:
First day of Spring Training (Player Invitees Only)
Wednesday, March 2, 2011:
Final Cut Day. All Clubs must select their required Official 16 Man Active Roster and 10 Man Developmental Roster
Friday, March 4, 2011:
Clubs must submit their Official 16 Man Active Roster and 10 Man Developmental Roster by this date. Short biographies and photographs (on CD Rom) must be submitted on the forms provided for all Players, Manager, Coaches and Staff. Copies of all signed Player Contracts must be received for review and approval by the MLSA.

Opening weekend of the 2011 Season
Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 19, 2011:
Fan balloting for the All-Star Teams
Friday, June 17 through Sunday, June 19, 2011:
Players, Managers and Coaches vote for the All-Star Teams
Friday, July 1 through Sunday, July 3, 2011:
All-Star Game Weekend
Friday, July 1 - All-Star Team Workouts - Dinner
Saturday, July 2 - Workouts; Home Run Contest, Celebrity Game for Charity
Sunday, July 3 - All-Star Game at 1:00 PM. MVP Trophy ceremony following the game.
Wednesday, July 6, 2011:
Final changes to 16 Man Active Roster and 10 Man Developmental Roster. No new Players on either of these rosters can be added after this date.
Monday, September 19 through Thursday, September 29, 2011:
Make-up games will be scheduled during this period.
Friday, September 30, 2011:
Division Championship Series begins between the first and second place Clubs in each Division.
(Best of 5 Series)
Friday, October 7, 2011:
Conference Championship Series begins between the 2 Division winners in each of the Conferences.
(Best of 7 Series)
Friday, October 14, 2011:
First Round of the MLSA World Series between the 2 Conference Champions with second and third best regular season record. (Best of 7 Series)
Friday, October 21, 2011:
World Series Finals between the winner of the first round and the Conference Champion that received a bye in the first round for having the best record in the regular season. (Best of 7 Series)
Friday, December 2 through Wednesday, December 7, 2011:
Annual Owners Meeting
Presentation of all awards
Final statistics for the 2011 Season
Discussion and Debate of the 2011 Season
Discussion and Debate of the upcoming 2012 Season
