MLSA CHARITY EVENTS
The Major League Softball Association feels very strongly about its obligation when it comes to charity and its relationship with charitable organizations on a national level. In addition, we encourage Clubs in the MLSA to do its part with selected local charities of their choice. It is of paramount importance that our Clubs give back to their community and this includes charitable causes. During the 2011 Season the MLSA and its Clubs will oversee 3 sponsored charity events that will take place simultaneously in all of our ballparks.
FIRST EVENT: CYSTIC FIBROSIS
The MLSA will donate $1,000.00 in the name of each Club $30,000.00
Each MLSA Club will donate $1,000.00 $30,000.00
For each HOMERUN during the doubleheader the MLSA will donate
$100.00 and this will be matched by the Club hitting the homerun Goal: $36,000.00
* 6 per game (avg) times 15 games = 90 - X 2 games = 180 Homeruns
A Raffle will be held at all 15 Stadiums during both games of the
doubleheader - A $5.00 Raffle Ticket will give the holder a chance
to win one of the following prizes: (500 tickets sold per stadium)
- 2 Airline Tickets to any destination the airline flies to in the Continental US
- A 3 day, 2 night cruise
- A Friday and Saturday stay at a luxury Hotel
- Dinner for 2 at a top local restaurant with a Limo
- 20 Movie Passes for 2 Goal: $37,500.00
Wheel of Fortune Roulette Wheel - $1.00 per spin.
(based on 1100 spins per stadium) Prizes will be:
- Dinner for 2
- 2 MLSA Game Tickets
- 2 Movie Passes
- Fast Food Coupons
- Free Pizza Coupons
- MLSA Softballs Goal: $16,500.00
GOAL FOR THIS EVENT: $150,000.00
SECOND EVENT: THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS
The MLSA will donate $1,000.00 in the name of each Club $30,000.00
Each MLSA Club will donate $1,000.00 $30,000.00
For each RBI during the doubleheader the MLSA will donate
$25.00 and this will be matched by each Club hitting the RBI Goal: $36,000.00
* based on 24 RBI per game - X 2 games = 48 RBI
A Raffle will be held at all 15 Stadiums during both games of the

The MLSA will donate $1,000.00 in the name of each Club $30,000.00
Each MLSA Club will donate $1,000.00 $ 30,000.00
For each RUN SCORED during the doubleheader the MLSA will donate
$25.00 and this will be matched by each Club scoring the runs Goal: $36,000.00
* based on average of 24 RUNS per game - X 2 games = 48 RUNS
A Raffle will be held at all 15 Stadiums during both games of the
doubleheader - A $5.00 Raffle Ticket will give the holder a chance
to win one of the following prizes: (500 tickets sold per stadium)
