2010 MLSA PLAYER COMBINES
Player Combines were developed, in part, to assist the MLSA in creating a qualified Player Pool for MLSA Club Owners from which to draw. Club Owners will have access to the MLSA Wire Service (Player Database) which will contain all of the Players' Combine Evaluations and Statistics. They will utilize this information to determine which Players they would like to invite to a tryout for their respective Clubs. It is very important to the long term success of the MLSA to identify the most talented Players available in the United States and that is why the decision was made to conduct these Player Combines.
Players participating in these Combines could receive one or more Club Tryout Invitations. The best way to be "seen" by a MLSA Club is at the "Invitation Only" tryouts where there will be a small number of pitchers and catchers, infielders and outfielders in attendance. "Open Tryouts", if conducted by a MLSA Club, could have as many as 200 participants and it will be very difficult for a Player to be noticed.
Players can now register for the MLSA Player Combine of their choice. Space is very limited..... only 48 Players will be accepted for each Combine. Each Combine will consist of four, 12 man rosters. There will be 816 Players for the 17 Combines. Due to the overwhelming response from Players across the country, there is a limit of only 1 Combine per Player. Geographical areas indicated under each City are recommendations only for that specific Combine. A Player can register for any Combine regardless of where he resides.
A $395.00 Registration Fee is required to participate in the Player Combine of your choice, which are listed below. This required fee serves to insure that only serious, qualified Players who want to be a part of this new and exciting men's professional slow-pitch softball league will be participating. Players need to know that it is very expensive to conduct these Player Combines and the MLSA is not profiting from these Player Combines. The MLSA is committed to identifying qualified Players and to create an excellent Player Pool for its Club Owners.
